Refreshing and delicious pineapple margarita with a little kick of heat! This fun cocktail is perfect for sipping on a warm, sunny day, and is only lightly sweetened with pineapple juice. Add your desired level of spice by adding more or less jalapeño slices, or omit them if spicy isn't your thing. The cocktail will still taste great!
I love margaritas! But, hold the premix! I've never been into overly sweet drinks, and that's exactly what margarita premix is. No thanks. I much rather prefer to make a homemade margarita because they taste so much better and are only lightly sweetened. All you need is 5 simple ingredients to make one delicious Sparkling Jalapeño Pineapple Margarita! The only sweetener is the pineapple juice!
When it comes to the jalapeños, I like to leave the seeds and membranes in to kick up the spice. I find that 1-2 jalapeños slices is the perfect level of heat. It's not burn the throat spicy, it's just a small hint. But, that all can depend on the jalapeño, some are spicer than others. So, I suggest starting with 1-2 slices and adding more slices, if needed, after you finish mixing the drink up and doing a taste test.
This margarita is honestly still so delicious without jalapeños though! So if spicy isn't your thing, just leave them out! No biggie.
Ingredients.
Lime juice. Fresh or from a bottle. Either works. If you have fresh limes, you can use a wedge to run around the rim of the glass then dip in margarita salt!
Jalapeño. About 1-2 jalapeño slices per drink. Once the drink is mixed up and you do a taste test, you can always add more, if desired.
Tequila. Your favorite tequila. I typically just buy Jose Cuervo Especial Silver Tequila.
Triple sec. You favorite triple sec liqueur. I typically buy DeKuyper Triple Sec Liqueur.
Pineapple juice. You can typically find canned or jarred pineapple juice at any grocery store or Target. I use Dole 100% Pineapple Juice.
Sparkling water. If desired, top the margarita off with lime sparkling water to make it a little fizzy!

Great article. This is the perfect drink to go for if you are looking for a cool, lightly sweet, homemade drink. The best part of this sparkling pineapple jalapeno margarita is that it is easy to make and can be made in 5 minutes. Adding sparkling water is a nice suggestion. Thank you very much for the article.
