2-3teaspoonssimple syrup or honey(more or less to taste)
optional add-ins: dash of cinnamon and/or splash of vanilla extract

Simple syrup
In a small saucepan over medium heat, or in the microwave, heat together the sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved. Transfer to a mason jar or glass dish to store in the fridge. This makes enough for about 8 drinks.
Iced Matcha latte
In a tall glass, whisk together the matcha powder and hot water until smooth and frothy, then mix in the simple syrup or honey (and any add-ins, if using). I like to use my handheld electric milk frother.
Fill a glass with ice, then pour in the milk and matcha. Stir and enjoy!
Hot Matcha Latte
In a mug, whisk together the matcha powder and hot water until smooth and frothy, then mix in the simple syrup or honey (and any add-ins, if using). I like to use my handheld milk frother.
Steam or heat the milk until hot. Pour the hot milk over the matcha. Stir and enjoy! To steam milk, I like to use my electric milk frother.
