Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash.
On a lightly floured surface, gently roll out the long edges of the puff pastry to create an even square, about 12 x 12 inches. Cut the sheet of puff pastry into 4 equal squares. Place the 4 pastry squares onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
Cut the brie and cream cheese into small cubes about the size of dice. Drop half of the brie and cream cheese cubes into the center of each pastry square.
In a medium bowl, mix together the strawberries with the sugar, almond extract, orange zest and cornstarch. Equally spoon strawberry mixture into the center of each pastry square. Drop the remaining brie and cream cheese cubes equally among each pastry, over the strawberries. Fold the edges of pastry over the fruit and cheese and crimp to form a round shape. Brush the top of each pastry with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
Bake in the oven at 400 degrees F. for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the center is bubbling. Once done, transfer to a wire rack to cool.
